The last couple months have been a hodgepodge of events around my home and in my photography ventures.  For the most part I have strive to spend more time with family, and a little less time behind the lens, so I skipped the newsletter for March.  I thought I would just bring you up to speed on what I have been doing and show you several images taken during March and April.

As some of you may know, I really like the folks at  Sylvan Heights Bird Park and so I ventured over there with my daughter to see if I could get some good shots for stock photography, and honestly just to look at some beautiful birds.  The park is setup with several aviaries where waterfowl and wading birds find a home.  This park is also not really what I consider a zoo, but rather a breeding center for rare species of waterfowl and wading birds. It really is one of the only places I know where you can view birds you just can't find in North America.

After my Sylvan Heights trip, I spent a good deal of time adding some new features to my website so it can better be navigated and added a new "My Gear" page.  This was added because I get queries on what gear I recommend from time to time.

I am getting ready for another trip to Florida to get some images of the new egret "babies" and hopefully some additional birds in flight shots (if time allows).  Next, month, I will be heading up to Pennsylvania to capture images of the osprey.  The osprey event is becoming a yearly tradition for me.  Finally, it is time to continue "The Hummingbird Project" as they will soon be arriving from their Central American wintering spots.  Start putting out your hummingbird feeders now and change the sugar-water often as it begins to warm up.
